When you actually need a full replacement

Not every crack means a new windscreen. A chip under a 20-cent coin, away from the driver’s line of sight and the edge of the glass, can almost always be repaired with resin. But once a crack spreads beyond about 50mm, sits in the wiper sweep of the driver’s side, or runs to the edge of the glass, replacement is the safer call.

Modern laminated windscreens are a structural part of your car — they contribute to roof crush strength and airbag deployment. Driving on a compromised windscreen isn’t just a safety and roadworthiness issue; it changes how the car behaves in a crash.

Our fitment process

  • Vehicle inspected and interior masked to protect trim and dash.
  • Old glass removed with a cold-knife or fibre-cord — no damage to the pinch weld.
  • Body flange cleaned and primed; rust spots addressed before bonding.
  • OEM-grade urethane applied to spec.
  • New glass set with alignment blocks, cured to the minimum safe drive-away time.
  • All mouldings, clips and rain sensor re-mounted.

What’s included with every replacement

  • Standard, OEM or genuine glass (your choice, quoted separately).
  • All labour and consumables.
  • Clean-up of every last shard of broken glass.
  • Lifetime workmanship warranty — if our fitment ever fails, we fix it.

A note on ADAS calibration

If your car has a forward-facing camera behind the mirror (lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise, autonomous emergency braking), the camera needs recalibrating any time the windscreen moves. We don’t perform ADAS calibration in-house — we’ll refer you to a qualified third-party specialist.
